We have an experienced and keen group of GP Obstetricians who welcome pregnant women from across Gippsland. We deliver babies in low risk pregnancies at South Gippsland Hospital in collaboration with the Midwifery team there.
New patients to the clinic and existing patients with a new pregnancy should call to make an appointment.
If you have chosen a GP Obstetrician already, please let reception know and they will ensure you see that doctor in a timely manner. If you would prefer to have a GPO chosen for you, please let reception know and this is easy to arrange.
These appointments allow time to assess and plan management for aspects of health care which may not always be given a priority in normal short appointments. These appointments should be booked by calling the clinic and will be bulk billed. Our nurses are endlessly approachable and here to help.
They are available for specific groups including:
- All those over 75yo (annually)
- Those with an intellectual disability (annually)
- 45-49yo’s at risk of chronic diseases (once only)
- 40-49yo’s at risk of diabetes (once every 3 years)
- Heart health check for those over 30yoa with a risk condition (annually)
- Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders of all ages (annually),
- Former serving members of Australian Defence Force (once only)
- Refugees and other humanitarian entrants (once only)
Our GPs are experienced in dealing with mental health challenges and appointments are best booked by calling the clinic rather than online. We refer to counsellors or psychologists when appropriate.
Mental Health Care Plans can be created to enable Medicare to fund some of these services.
A review of your Mental Health Care Plan can sometimes be booked with our Nurse Practitioner Mental Health – ask reception when you call.
If you or someone you know is in urgent need of help or in danger, please call 000.

We offer a service to patients of our clinic, who have been seen in person within the last 5 months, to obtain scripts by ringing the clinic and getting an appointment in our script clinic. This is a bulk-billed short consult.
Please note that this is not for authority scripts, for strong pain medications or for sedatives. Normal clinic appointments are required for these.

Everything you would expect from a comprehensive rural General Practice service!
Telehealth appointments are available to existing patients of the practice. It is a requirement of Medicare that you have been seen face to face by a doctor in our clinic within that last 12 months.
Telehealth allows you to catch up with your usual GP (or another GP if necessary) to discuss any issue that you would have previously discussed at a face to face consultation. These appointments can either be done over video conferencing or over the phone. You stay at home rather than coming to the clinic.
The GP will have access to your electronic health record. The consultation notes will be taken in accordance with our usual practice policies. If required your GP may recommend a referral for testing or a prescription, please be aware that these documents will contain some personal information and will need to be sent to the appropriate organisations. In the case of scripts, these can be sent by email to your nominated pharmacy.
For some specific management plans, video calls must be used in preference to telephone. These include GP management plans, mental health plans, mental health reviews. Your doctor will lead you onto a site called Healthdirect which allows easy use of a video link so you can see each other. These particular consultations will then be bulk billed as they are when face to face in the clinic.
If during your telehealth consultation your GP feels you need a face to face consultation they will book this for you.
Both telephone and video linked consultations will be billed as per our usual fees described elsewhere.
