Hospital Services

All GP's have visiting rights to the South Gippsland Hospital. The hospital has 16 acute care beds, as well as an operating theatre & delivery suite. In addition it has a 3 bed emergency / outpatients department & local radiographer. The Foster / Toora Medical Centre patient database is accessible through 3 hospital computer terminals.

There are currently 2 operating lists per week which include endoscopies, caesarian sections, general surgery, & gyneacological surgery.


Aged Care Facilities

Prom Country Aged Care is a 60 bed residential aged care facility located immediately behind the clinic. The facility has an IT link to the clinic.

Community Health Centre

A Community Health Centre that hosts a range of allied health professionals including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, therapeutic massage, home-based services, optometry, dietician, diabetes education, breast care nurse, asthma educator, district nurse, continence nurse, drug & alcohol councelling, podiatry, myotherapy, chronic disease management, psychology, menís pealth, smoking cessation, transitional care, community midwife, child health, health promotion & an award winning well women's clinic.
